Mannyrock, I have shared these concerns as well. Also, the price of these firearms is out of my reach. My solution was to purchase Romanian AKs that have been factory modified to pump action. The thing that I like about these rifles is that the return spring was left in the action, therefore all you have to do is pull the handle back and let it go. It will return to battery by itself, vigorously I might add! The model # are PAR-1,(7.62x39), & PAR-3,(5.56x45). They are also capable of acceptting hi-cap mags. CAI imported them. There is also a tactical shotgun from TRI-STAR, called the "COBRA", with the same system. I have one of those, also. The AKs have the rails on the left side of the receiver and the shotgun takes dovetail mounts from Weaver. These weapons have solved the dilemma for me. Reply if you have more questions.
