I have the above listed rifle and have encountered a problem since I purchased it. (wish I had found this site a couple of years ago!)
It will not eject, period.
Fired - unfired - new - reloads and I even had some surplus 7.62 and nothing would eject. Once in a blue moon I could get two rounds off trying to sight in before they would stick. I didn't shoot much needless to say nor did I have a lot of extra time.
(I bought it to take care of coyotes mainly.)
I cleaned the casings and checked/cleaned the chamber as well.
When I say that the casings were stuck I mean to the point that I have broken a wooden dowel rod trying to get a new casing out of the chamber and that was after I had waited a couple of days to get it out. (This was getting real old fast) I have probably only fired maybe 10-12 no more than 15 rounds through it.
I've already contacted the company and they are taking care of it along with reducing the trigger pull, in fact I hope to to get it back within the next week.
Another question I have is what should the primers look like after firing, mine were/are flat. I compared them to my fired brass from my M1A (rounded). I also have a friend that has a Ruger #1 and his were rounded as well.
Is there any reason for concern or is this normal in the NEF rifles?
What are some ideas as to what was wrong with it.
Thanks
Steamn.
