        Each state is different for sure. Texas and Nevada are pretty close. Except in Nevada you can walk around the grocery store with your weapon on your holster, plain veiw, as a citizen and still be legal.  And in California any handgun mag over 10 rounds is illegal? That is absurd!!!The last gun I purchased in Texas asked for the SS# but it was optional. Nothing about occupation. That is just weird....

Michigan asks for SS# but it is optional and I have never put it in.  I have never had anyone even question me on that practice.

after having lived there the first 21 years of my life i figured out that illinois was no place for a freedom loving u.s. citizen.  i'll never live or even spend my money there again.
