What brand revolver ruger or taurus?

I was wanting a 32 h&r magnum I did'nt whether to get a taurus or ruger

If you  want to shoot it get a Ruger.  If you like waiting for repairs buy a Taurus.

Well, here's another perspective....

I have 8 Rugers and would't trade them for anything, so I would also vote for a Ruger for what you want.

About 10 years ago I went to my local gunshop to buy a SS S&W model 60 Chief's Special snubby as a carry gun.  The dealer said why don't you look at the Taurus model 85 he had too.

Putting the 2 side to side, the Taurus had a better fit and fiinish, it had a transfer bar instead of pin on hammer, plus it was 40 bucks cheaper.  I bought it and have fired many many rounds thru it after all these years.  I still have it.

Now.....if Ruger had had a small frame model the same size back then I would have bought that instead.

must have been an old S&W as the ones made now have frame mounted firring pins mines about 8 or so years old .
and the one that i got about 14 years ago is like you describe , the Taurus has gotten worst if the ones in shops are an indication .
conclusion - THINGS CHANGE !
I am looking at a SP101 , MAYBE !

I own 2 Taurus revolvers, 3 Ruger automatics and 3 Ruger revolvers. Oh, yeah, 2 S&W revolvers. Between Ruger and Taurus, my vote is RUGER, without question.

I have owned 3 Taurus revolvers, and 2 Ruger revolvers.  The Rugers are definately superior, will keep em' for life.  While the Taurus guns did work, timing was off on two of them, and evidence of soft steel on 2 as well.  But they did go bang when I pulled the trigger.  Sold or traded off the 3 Taurus revolvers, and the Taurus Model 92 semi-auto pistol. 

I should have kept one of the Taurus revolvers as a kind of disposal gun, good to loan to friends or keep in the vehicle for emergencies, not too concerned if it gets scratched and rusted.

I would have no problem buying another Ruger revolver.  I avoid the Taurus line.

Another Ruger fan here.  I started out a long time ago with a security six that saw A LOT of rounds while in my possession.  The gun I now carry more than any is a Ruger SP101 in .357 (3" barrel).

And yes, I do currently own one Taurus and have had another one.  They would not be choice for carry in a defensive situation.

Check out the last issue of GUNS magazine, they have a article of the new Ruger sp101 in the new 327 magnum. It will chamber and shoot 32long and 32 H&R mag cartridges in it.

I personal have had bad luck with taurus. One was the PT92 and the other was a 85 snub nose. The factory fixed the issues free of charge but it did take months to get them back...

The only thing I dislike about rugers is the double action pull on the GP series. I have never shot a sp101 so they may not have the same long heavy pull that my GP does. I have thought about getting a spring kit to remedy this, but haven't yet.

My vote is for the Ruger

I guess I'd have to say Ruger as well.  On the other hand I have two Taurus revolvers that I have no desire to sell and they are a 4" 441 and a 2 1/2" 431 which are both blued 44 specials.  Both shoot great and I have had zero problem with either.  Thing is they don't make them any more and haven't for a long time and I have heard that the quality control has gone down the tubes.  I have several Rugers in different flavors and have had zero problems with them as well.  The Rugers are built like tanks and I am sure you couldn't wear one out in a normal lifetime of shooting.  Probably two or three lifetimes.

well that's what they said about the 32H&R mag. , guess we will see ! I saw the article about it and the SP101 .
all the arm chair quarterbacking won't tell us much ! when the first few shootings takes place we will know ! Think I will wait till someone else has gathered the facts .
a few truths exist , a 45 starts off big enough in dia. , a 357 has the speed to open up big as a 45 making it big enough !
now those are the best add the 40 S&W , the 10 MM , 44 spl and you about have it OK the 357 sig. if you must ! the rest are considered less effective or marginal . so where would the new round fit in ? seems like it has to stretch more than a 357 mag. with less bulk to get there ! when all the smoke and mirrors are taken away , the fact remains NOTHING BEATS CUBIC INCHES ! so if ya start off small what have ya got ?
you say there is nothing like it ! i say do we need anything like it ? in the SP101 you get one more shot which seems good but if you give up a round that has over a 96% one shot stop track record for one with say a 86 % record you actually
are using more rounds per target and reduced the effective number of targets you could stop !
Of course i see the appeal to the spray and pray crowd , but then i don't see them using a 5 or 6 shot revolver !
