I have not shot the Ultramax but my 1:12 .223 Handi with a regular contour barrel has shot a 3 shot group which could be covered by a dime at 100 yards using Remington 55 grain Core Lokt HP's. It sure made me happy....<><....

i'd recommend the 55 gr' spire points from Hornady. they have been very accurate -- using those that have no cannelure/crimping groove in my Handi heavy-barrel'd .223. they are reasonably priced, too.

Iuse them al the time in my 1 in 12 ultra. They will group about 1 1/2 inches at 100 yds from my rifle ,not as good as the winchester white box stuff but plenty good enough for me for coyotes and such out to 200 yds.
