Finally got a deer this year!
« on: November 04, 2006, 04:55:38 PM »
Thursday afternoon it all came together. A large doe came walking down the hollow I was hunting in. She stopped about 20 yards away and her shoulder was behind a tree but I could see just behind her shoulder. There was a place on her side where the hair was sticking out, like she had licked herself. This spot of hair was only about 2 or 3 inches off the tree but just as soon as I saw the spot everything else seemed to dissapear as my consentration locked in on the spot. I came to full draw, anchored, kept full focus on the spot of hair and released. All the practicing paid off because the arrow went out of sight right into the spot of hair.
The first thing I said in my excitment was, Thank you Lord!
I was shooting my Martin Hatfield that is 60 pounds at my draw length of 29.25 inches. I was using a Carbon Express Heritage shaft with a 100 grain 3-blade Muzzy head. The arrow went completely through the deer and stuck in the ground.

Mac11700, Thanks!
I only took a few pictures with my old 35mm camera and used the timer on it to take the shots.
I'm not sure when I'll get the film developed.
I don't think you can post pictures on here without a digital camera, can you?
This is actually my 5th deer taken with this bow but the first this season.
Thanks again!

Your Welcome...A easy way to convert those images on film into the digital realm...is simply take them to Walmart's camera section...and have them burn a cd for you along with your normal pictures when your getting them developed..It cost a few dollars more..but is worth it...Then either use the photo host here at GBOhttps://www.gboreloaded.com/mhp/ or at photobucket...http://photobucket.com..and follow the directions for registering...then upload your pictures to that host...then copy the image location of that picture there..then insert it into your post...If you need any help after you get it on a cd..let me know...
