The Interarms guns were all commercial Mauser 98 actions, generally well thought of. When the war in the Balkans broke out (Bosnians, Serbians, etc) the plant shut down. Klinton banned imports from Yugoslavia until their war was ended and things changed.
After Bush lifted the import ban on them, they are available again under the Charles Daly name. They were and are made in Yugoslavia. Don't confuse the gun and/or the quality with CZ rifles made in the Czech Republic (see the CZ forum).
Some say the Interarms are better than the new Charles Daly rifles. I've handled the field grade Daly rifles, and I would agree the attention to detail is lacking. I've handled and shot the older Interarms versions and I think I like them better. That's just me.

The Interarms is an easy rebarrel.
