lots of left over ham. wife made scalloped potatoes and ham for supper last night. great winter comfort meal. now next week ill make my cheesy potato soup. another of my favorites but you have to be careful with that one because it has CALORIES! canned 8 quarts od turkey broth with chunks of turkey yesterday. every holiday i throw the turkey carcass and scraps in the pressure cooker for an hour than slow cook it all night than jar it up and pressure can it. makes great soup thats quick to make. problem is i have about 40 quarts already and the wife thinks im nuts. than the night before i made 5 turkey pot pies out of turkey, gravy and frozen mixeed veggies. another great winter comfort meal.
..Sounds like you made good (and delicious) use out of the Christmas leftovers ! Yes, ham in escalloped potatoes is great "comfort food" along with cheesy potato
soup. ... Perfectly fit for the cold winter days ahead..
Another quick to fix treat when coming in from an icy cold winter, is a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup..
BTW...did you get slammed by that storm on Saturday ? We didn't get a lot of snow, but we did get some nasty ice, leaving about 1/4" coating of ice over everything.
