rk3006: I would either get a copy of Skinnerton's book or go and try and look it up in a library that may have one to verify what that dealer said. There should be some markings on the revolver to help identify it as such.
I may be wrong but in my younger days before the GCA of 68, when Webleys were in plentiful supply and I had a Mk6, I thought you could replace the entire top half of the revolver (cylinder nad barrel, etc) with another one with little difficulty, hence being able to make up a Mk5 from a Mk6 and vice versa. I know this may not be very much help but I figured I would try just the same. Mikey.
