My boo boo Tim, it was the plastic tipped ones. I will likely stay with the 240s if they do OK. They shoot very well in my muzzle loader with sabots. When I get time to reload a few, I'll report.

That's kinda what I figured!  ;D I have some of the 240gr XTP Mags too, lots of loads to test.  :-\

 I hope to reload some 240s this weekend. I've been using WW296, what other powders work well in the old Colt? 296 works really good in my 357 Ruger but it's pretty dirty in my handi.

I'll second that vote for LilGun.  It has just about replaced H-110 for 357, 44 mag and heavy 45's.  ( For me.)  DP
