Mine is a rifle I tuned myself (glass bedding, trigger job, floating ect.) and is a Remington Model 70BDL in 25-06. I once shot a 1 & 1/4" group with it at 300 yards, and inside 500 yards the coyote should go ahead and lay down to keep from falling, provided I do my part. Have been shooting this caliber since 1971. Love it.

I like the 45-70 GS with 420 cast bullets for varmints, that way when I bump into big game I'm ready. ;D

Remington LH 700VS in .308 win.  Shoots <3/8 " 3 shot groups @ 100 yards with Black Hills Match 175 gr. moly.  Once, shot a 3/4" 3 shot group at 300 yards with 165 gr SST Hornady Light Mags.  Regrettably, they no longer make that particular Light Mag load in .308.  This rifle is out of the box and totally untuned.  I love it!

Hey aardvark, love that turk!  It's great to see someone showing off a self-built sporter.  What kind of stock is that?  I have built a 22-250 on a CZ 98/22 action and am working with it now.  It shows promise, but is not ready for primetime.  As for you AR shooting types, I have really been impressed of late with the performance I have seen from AR type rifles.  I am seriously considering buying a bushmaster predator for some eastern coyote hunting.

The stock is from a company caleed WOOD PLUS and is available thru Brownell's..Not bad for around $60 and no waiting...I have three of theirs and the wood grain is great on all 3...Great stock for the money if you don't mind the old classic style.

Being something of an old school type, the "classic style" is exactly what I am after.  I have been looking at those WOOD PLUS stocks myself.  One of the most appealing things about them to me is the fact that they are effectively ambidextrous stocks.  A necessity, since I am a southpaw and since anyone else who uses one of my rifles would most likely be right handed.  I like the looks of your stock.  I would say that I am pretty much sold on the idea.  Shopping list updated...

Be sure to get the ones with buttplates installed unless you are good at putting them on!

Definitely my CZ 527 in a .204 caliber.   Have shot less than 1" inch groups at 200 yards.  Rock solid base and little wind. Using a factory 32 grain Hornady.  That caliber really runs out well for me. Have not shot alot beyond 250....but cant wait for that opportunity ....

I have three varmint rifles that will put five rounds into 1/2 inch groups at 100 Yds. A 223 Rem Browning Varmint w BOSS, a 223 Rem Howa 1500  Thumbhole Varmint and a  204 Ruger Ruger 77 Target Varmint Gray . I have shot groups less than 1/2 inch with the rifles  but I think I have had a little luck to get groups under 1/2 inch.

Never got one bouncing back at me, but mine normally hang on a chain and the closest ones are at least 500yds away.I ahve seen them come back at shooters, that were using their pistols on some stationary steel plates 50 yds away.I don't even want to be around those boys.
Common sense goes a long long way.

Mine is a Savage 10 in 17 Remington, most consistant rifle I have ever had, it will put 10 or 20 or however many you shoot under an inch at 100 yards, you can't tell the first from the last.  These are 30gr BTHP Bergers.  Larry

A gun is just like a parachute, if you ever really need one, nothing else will do.

Actuallly the best 100 yard shooter I have is a Marlin 883 bolt action in 22WMR...It will shoot inside a 1.5" circle all day...But i waas thinking varmint rifle that will shoot far,far away...That is why I picked the .25-06....Although now that I think about it I have a M98 with a #3 barrel in .280Rem that I used to shoot some 100gr HP's that was pretty good at 300yds too...It's been locked up in the safe so long I guess I better go blow the dust off of it.
