Got 4-6 inches here in Western WI, not to bad. I got the old Allis Chalmers tractor with snow blade out and made quick work of the fluffy stuff. Think I will go sit by the fire tonight its only suppose to be about six degrees tonight.

gregp you a amatuer radio op also? so am i. i ain.t very active anymore tho.we don't have any thing coming down right now but the temps.it is grtting cold in the nw.corner of ar!!i am gonna go put some wood in the fire.everyone take care and stay safe.

Ozark,

Yea, I have been a radio op for about 13 years now, when I was first into it I did a lot of work with the DES, FEMA, and the Red Cross, it was a lot of fun. I have had to slow down on the fun in the last few years, still trying to get the last section of my tower up. Watching the temps fall here, should be interesting, it is down to 37F here right now and had .488" of rain today, if it hits freezing we are going to have an ice rink out there... The temp is dropping at a rate of 1.5F per hour at the moment.

Yep, time to get up and face the day.

Andy:

Speakin of shovelin.  Did it yesterday, all dried off today with the bright sunshine.
Everywhere not cleaned off is still snow packed.  streets are slick, not as slick as the
ice though. Been there, done that, don't like it neither.  Much prefer shovelin snow.

Today was the warmest we've had in over a week. Got up to about 22. 10pm now and it's
3 above.  been gettin below some, minus 8 and 13 are the coldest I've heard of so far.

Had six snows in four weeks so far. Sure beats heck out of the 9yrs drought though.
Do feel sorry for the ranchers and their stock down east of here on the short grass.  They
really caught hell.  Somewhere around 20,000 head lost.

Feel for ya guys in the ice areas. Wish you the best.
