Model 14 7mm-08 range report
« on: March 05, 2006, 04:39:07 AM »
After about 60 rounds over the course of a couple months developing a good hunting load for subject rifle.  I have settled on the following loads that I tried yesterday.

145 grain Speer flat base
IMR4895, 39 grains
neck sized and light crimp
5 shot group produced 3/4" group with a two minute cool down between shots.

and
140 grian Nosler B. Tip
IMR4895 40 grains
neck sized and light crimp
5 shot group produced 1" groups

It does not like 160 grain bullets with IMR4895.  I will try the 160's with
H4831SC and report later.
