!COUGARS! in Ontario?
« on: December 14, 2005, 09:49:25 AM »
Hi everyone. Have you heard the rumour that the MNR is releasing cougars in southwestern Ontario?  I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on the topic and I'm interested to hear some more. I think it is probably false. This is only because I doubt the government has enough cash to fund a project like this. Also, the huge public safety problem (releasing large predators in a heavily populated area) would scare most of our liberal "friends" away. I talked to a C.O. and he said it was probably just someone who had one for a pet and realized they're not so cute when they get big (and start eating people). Your opinion please.

mark maybe get a few around the parliament buildings in Ottawa and we can clean up a lot of out problems. the gun control, health care spending, day care budget.  The damn cats probably wouldn't eat a gun hating lieberal it would leave a really nasty taste in his mouth and give him food poisoning. Thanks Ken. :D

heheh. I guess that's true. I think they're protected but when I went into the MNR office a while ago I asked a C.O. about the whole thing. I asked him if we could shoot them and he said, "well, there's no season on them. You had to be there but I took it to mean that if I saw one he wouldn't care if I gave it the Remington Retirement Plan.
