I currently drive a '97 Chevy 3500 c-cab dually with a 6.5TD, it has more than 225,000 miles on it.  My wife drives a '91 GMC Suburban 2wd with a 350, it has over 222,000 miles on it. There isn't much out there that will haul around our four kids and two dogs.

I have a 1992 Ford Explorer, it has over 134000 miles. I own 2 Dodge Rams a 1996 and a 2002, But I have owned Dodge Power wagons and Ram Chargers. I consider my self a Dodge Man. My Son will be getting my 1996 Dodge Ram for his first vehicle. Got to start him out right. :)

2003 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab 4X4.
I've always had F-150's but then bought a Ford Explorer to use as a kid hauler once our first one came.  I hated it.  Traded it in to get my wife a 2003 Taurus SES.  About 2 weeks later her old car (that we just made the final payment on 3 months prior) that I was using to drive to work gets slammed by a drunk driver while parked in front of the house.  Of course the guy drives away and is never found.  Our insurance company totaled the car and gave us a whopping $2,800 check ( It was a Saturn SL)  I used that as a downpayment for my new truck, or as my daughter who is 4 calls it "Little Truck"  :)

DirtyHarry, man I went shopping with my heart set on a hemi V-8, but they had this particular truck with a $4500 factory rebate, knocked another $2000 off the sticker price, plus threw in a $950 chrome package for free, and this one was loaded inside with power everthang. I still got a V-8 but it's the 4.7 liter version. It's got all kinds of power still.

Hopefully next time around I'll get the hemi. :-)

Yeah, it's an 03, those are the ones they give the $4500 rebates on cause they need to move them off the lot around September/October of the year when the new models are coming in.

The only negative about buying that way is you rarely get to pick and choose exact options because the pickens are so slim compared to the number of new trucks on the lot. I just kinda lucked up in that it had everything in options I was lookin for except for the hemi engine. If it had only had a 6 cylinder I prolly wouldn't have bought it.

One thing I really liked is since it was brand new, it still had the 7 year 70,000 mile warranty. They had some other trucks on the lot that were 1 year old that had between 5000-20000 miles, and they were asking MORE for them and they had less warranty coverage left.

After buying this way, I will probably always try to shop for a new vehicle in the fall of the year to get the deal.

I drive a 1990 Ford Bronco II, last of its kind.  It's gotten me in and out of some tight spots, and given me plenty of grief as well.  I'm the 3rd owner, and have had to give it a lot of attention after abuse by previous owners.  The transmission internals, shocks, parts of the suspension, and even the frame have been replaced either by me or by mechanics.  I brag about actually building a part of my truck, a bracket connecting the frame to the body and the rubber buffer between them.

Not sure whether I'd recommend it or not, but good ones are pretty much gone or spoken for.

1994 Chevy S-10 4x4 ZR2 pickup truck. It does what I ask it todo. It may not be big foot but it gets through the Maine woods with ease. And any where else I hunt.

I currently drive a 1995 Chevy K2500, 5.7 TBI, regular cab, long bed. It is fleet yellow and was a town electric truck in it's former life for Wolfsboro, NH. I bought it with 59,000 on it last December and it currently has 65,000 on it. It's a basic truck; crank-up windows, rubber floor mat, etc. but it's 4WD, heavy duty and in real good shape. Plus the price was right.

My truck is a '99 Dodge ram Quad Cab 4X4.  Spray on bedliner, Step bars, goose neck ball, 360 with K&N cold air induction.  I just took it elk hunting the other day, and the thing did perfect in the mud (we got a bunch of snow/rain here in the past week).  Here is the cool thing...heh heh...I got to listen to all of my football games/classic rock on the mountain courtesy of XM radio.  Best $99 I ever spent.

I have a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 750 with Stage 3 jet kit, Full Ti Yoshimura Exhaust, xenon lights, second skin seat covers, etc., etc., and the wife has a 2005 GTO.

Thanks Union Pacific.  heh heh.

Used to drive a 99 Durango 4x4 with a 318, good truck. Traded it in on a 04 Durango Limited with the hemi and I couldn't be happier! Better milage than the old Durango, more room and it does everything off-road that I need it to do. CEJ...

1966 F100 352 V8 with a three on the tree
1992 Chevy C1500 extended cab, 5 spd manual tranny.

The Ford is still my favorite and will take me anywhere I want to go. No a/c and lots of road noise but it runs as good now as when it was new.
