Super simple pic host that works with GBO software
« on: January 16, 2005, 12:06:09 PM »
I know this in in the wrong forum, but this is where all the traffic is.

In the search of an easy, user friendly host that works with GBO software. This has to be about the simplest out there.

No registration required or anything, when the page loads it may read (upload error).   If so just click on the (host image) link at the upper left corner.

Give it a look:

Raynor buddy, it's probably straight due east of your location and the latch string is always out for you, it's surrounded by my 128 acres of prime deer country, a little bit of heaven. I'm going up to Millinocket next week to do a little coyote hunting and to a game dinner on the 21st. being held in East Mill(inocket). The game dinner and speech is being put on by a triumvirate of local churches. The guest speaker will be one of the Berniers talking about deer hunting. This is the first time I've been up north in about 4-5 Months because of wanting to be here to watch over the construction of the  house addittion, believe me I'm worried about leaving!!!....<><....

Thanks MSP, I'm in Maine a couple times a year. Usually in the summer though.  I'll try and look you up one of these times, find out if your at camp first of course.

Have a good time at the game dinner, it'll be good for you to get away.

I know how you feel though, don't know if I could leave either with construction being done.

I used to use Hunt101, but they became a real pain in the butt getting linked to them, then the links were dead half the time, got real tired of seeing little red Xs where my pics should be. I switched over to Photobucket and have never had a problem since. Way too many at RFC have had the same experience and Hunt101 lost a lot of registered users to Photobucket because of their problems. I've linked to Hunt101 a couple times since to transfer photos that I left there and I still had problems, so things haven't changed much. Have never had even one slow link or problem with Photobucket, and best of all, it's also free!

This is a view looking Northeast from the Golden Road towards Mt Katadin, just south of the Abol Bridge. This is a spot we either drive in a ways to hunt coyotes by calling or when the snow gets to deep we park off the road and snowshoe in a 1/4 -1/2 mile and set up for about 30 minutes, then move on and do it all over again. It may sound like work to snowshoe back and forth like that 6-8 times a day but when it's 20-25 below zero it's good to keep moving!!!....<><....  :-D

Hey Whitedogone (and Mitchell), I don't want you to think I was ignoring your gracious offer. I typed a long response teling how my Grandfather (who I never met) was a carpenter and how my father built the house I grew up in, also that I built my camp from clearing the land to framing and all the wiring from the ground to the weatherhead on throuh the meter socket, service panel and all the interior wiring. I could always use help from a professioanl though. I just checked this post and saw I must have lost my long dissertatioin upon entering it or I just typed it and didn't hit submit!!!

Thanks again and I may take you, and Mitchell :D , up for answers to a few questions...Thanks....<><....

Tom D. that's a fine looking dog you got there! What's his name? :)
MSP Ret. that place looks much better than you described on the phone, I was skeptical of the picture without any snow.  :-)  Look great. CH

If you guys have a picture editing program like Snap Shot, Picture Perfect, or any of the other 10,000 available. Just cut the resolution before uploading it, drop it down to 120 dots per inch and size it down to 400 MB or smaller.  Makes viewing much faster and doesn't hurt the picture quality to bad.
