Could I ask for some decent weather? A little range time is all I ask. Rain and sleet the past few days the range was available. Saturday is supposed to be 5 below zero. I realise it's January in Wisconsin but come on... A few 20 degree and clear days when the range is open would be just fine. Throw some wind in there if you must, it's part of the deal. Just somewhere near mild temps and no precipitation.

Ok.

Rant off.

No ice storms knocking out my power, no mudslides wiping my house out. I guess it's not that bad.

Just when you think i couldn't get any worse, right, well it could always be worse just be thankful you still have your home. Just look at the news all the people in california and over seas. And while your cooped up inside you could always check up on some reloading.

Nixter,
Don't feel all left out.  For the last three weeks all we've had is rain, sleet, snow and wind, lots of all three.

The outcome of all this is in the news now.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

Nope, not allowed. This is winter. You can't have nice weather. Man it's tough here in Bama this winter. It barely made 70 degrees this morning when I was out and about in my t-shirt and jeans riding around on the four wheeler. :-D

It never ceases to amaze me the varied climates some humans are willing to live in. Having grown up on a continent with realtively moderate conditions on the whole (Australia) I can only imagine what it's like to be snowbound for months at a time.

On my regular visits the colder climes during the northern winter it's always nice to get back on the plane and know I'll be back in t-shirt and shorts weather in 12 or so hours and not have to wait for a change of season.

All I can say is the summers must be worth it to put up with it for the rest of the time.  :-)

MtJerry, Thats only about 2 degrees warmer than when my buddy and I were coyote hunting off the Golden Road near Mt Katadin in Maine 2 years ago. The joke was the first coyote that came to my buddies mouth call and he shot (75 yards between the trees with his Marlin 336 in .35 Remington with a 150 grains spitzer) was coming in to surrender or commit suicide just to get away from the cold and wind!!!. Those southern boys don't know what their missing!!! If I ever get up enough money I'm going to go someplace warm where I can hunt all winter in above freezing temperatures, or at least above zero, but the wind is the real killer when it gets to 15,20,30 below!!!....<><....

Digger, If I had known that early today while I was digging fresh snow out of the driveway and pushing it off my truck it MIGHT have made me feel a little better, at least a little warmer!!!....<><....

Ok, I whined about the weather. Over the weekend I had some cheese(not in short supply here).

I'm going to the range tomorrow!

223 Handi and 3 different types of ammo
22Mag UV with lots of ammo, I've got a better selection of 22Mag ammo than most of the stores around here.
And whatever else I can scare up.

The clubhouse has a pizza oven (hopefully someone stocked pizzas) and plenty of soft drinks and coffee.
