The NY season is now over, and many have expressed that it has been dismal at best.  What has been your experience?  I have to agree with the crowd on this one.

I think that the full moons played a part in this one.  Bow season opened on a full moon, gun season the same, and muzzleloading was close enough as well.

Whats your opinion?

In Delaware and Maryland we have until January 31 to hunt. We have a late shotgun and muzzleloader season still in both States and of course bow season also. I cannot complain, I got 10 deer this year 3 bucks and 7 doe's so far and my son got his first and second deer this year also.  :D

Season up here was too early to catch the rut. Lots of the local camps went home empty handed. The deer just were not moving.
We did manage to take home a few, but nothing spectacular.
Next year, it's a week later, should be excellent if the weather is good.

We have until the 15th of January for deer. After that it's all small game until the 9th of February. As far as deer is concerned, you can only use smokepoles and sticks. But, as far as the smokepole, you can use it as a doe or buck tag. I hope I get one more before the season closes. Good luck to ya'll!  :D
