Does anyone have an extra NEF scope rail for a handi? I need one for a barrel I got and thought I'd ask you guys first before ordering one from the factory.

liks2hunt: If all else fails, remember a Weaver 82 is the correct base for nearly all Handi's, Huntsman. Hope this helps: :D Duce:

Cheaper than Dirt has Weaver 82's in stock:

I usually prefer MidwayUSA since they are cheaper and have a better website layout, but then again if you order under $25 from them (or $40 for me since I get a dealer discount) then you'll have to pay an extra $3 anyways.

BTW, about the two cross slots, if you really need more eye relief you could use extension rings.  If you took your time you could likely also just file out another cross slot in the rail.

I order mostly from Midway myself as they usually have the best prices and you can actually find what your looking for on their site....but...I order from them mostly because they ship me my order !!!!
I ordered some rings and a bore sighter this morning just before 10 AM ...got an e-mail at 2 PM..telling me that my order was shipped!!!! Thats 4 hours NOT 4 days to a week after the order was placed.! Thats the way to run a business.......and they get MY business. :-)

It's a standard, I ordered it thinking I'd need it for the .357 maxi, but ended up using a weaver 82 instead. I'll send it to whomever needs it the most, $10 shipped.

I use a couple of Weaver 82's.  My neighbor has a milling machine I use to cut an new front slot with.  That moves the scope back about an inch so it clears the hammer and gives correct eye relief.  The same thing could be accomplished with a file, but the aluminum will tend to clog the file some.

Thanks Quickdtoo for the offer...but I'm in no hurry for the bases..."If" I do get to go hunting I got other rifles to use...so no rush....I'm going to hang a little 1.5 to 5 Bushnell on that new 44 I just got and I ordered an extra for a spare. Never know when ya might need one...and if there is a shortage the week before season opens I can always double the price on the hold back and get the one I mount on the .44 for free!  :)  Better get out your check book Lik2hunt...thats a good price on Quickdtoo's base!! :D
