barrels take 3 weeks now

this is some good news straight from customer service at H&R.

i sent back a .17 HMR today that had some problems and inquired about getting a new barrel, maybe a 25-06, or a 7mm-08, or a .223, i still can't make up my mind (i also shipped out a handi pardner receiver for a 28ga mod bbl !!) . but the lady said they are running three weeks for barrels now because things are slow right now. this is a nice change from the 6 weeks it usually takes.

not bad, so stock up on barrels now for the fall !

Mine left South Arkansas on 6-9, got to Mass. on 6-16, and got back to my hands in Arkansas on 6-27.  That was a 44 barrel.  Did you know that they leave big old holes in the paper?  It is awesome.

Seriously, though, 18 days from door to door.  Can any of the "big companies do that?

Yeah, 3 weeks for mine as well if i hadn't called them and asked them to do a trigger job over independence week...  That's ok, it'll be worth it...

My guess would be it's because everyone is waiting for the 22-250's to go up on the accessory program.
