Another "shooting sport", done traditionally for the 4th of July.

   This guy apparently does it regularly as a sideline.   Anvils have a hollow spot in their base as part of the manufacturing process, but note that he has hogged out the base to hold more powder.    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/9sAbCKzxYbM

  reason some don't allow is because an anvil could have a flaw in the base and blow apart, throwing pieces and shrapnel into the crowd.  It has happened before.
