cant see it without scanning and wont do that. that said if there is oil that can help turn around this country's economy and strength thats more important then yuppy campers wanting wilderness or even me as a hunter. they have no problem destroying or polluting the citys they live in but think they should have control of a different state or section of land a 1000 miles away. i say get the federal government out of the land control powers they have and turn all the fed lands back over to the states and let the voters in that state control how the land in their back yards is used. not some hippies in power in DC

Couldn't get the app to open. If this is about the public lands that BLM are thinking of selling off, NO. Should be up to the people of what state the land is in. Put it on the state ballot, who wants to buy it, why do they want to buy it, how much and what do the people get in return from the sale.

The same, or near same, article.

                                   https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2025/07/trump-public-lands-exploitation-blueprint-james-watt-ronald-reagan-interior/

When it comes biology and nature, Pres. Trump is more like Biden, has near zero knowledge of the subject.

Not far from where I live there’s a huge solar panel ‘farm’ built on land cleared of forest for the project, clearly visible from the highway. It’s quite an eyesore. I’d bet that same amount of land, in the right area of course, with oil pumps instead of panels, could be more beneficial. If energy companies are going to use the land, get the best bang for the buck.

DITTO, with Lloyd..  ..And I won't take in any of Mommy Jones' propaganda.

Maybe the lefties want to cover that acreage with solar farms..

IG: I knew that Mother Jones would be a turn off. I could not find the article anywhere else. Too bad that your politics censors what you read. You are an intelligent man. It is not like an article from a leftist publication is going to infect you.

It is not like an article from a leftist publication is going to infect you.

The author of the article Dustin Mulvaney hates fossil fuels, wants to cover the landscape with solar panels. He thinks that lithium-ion battery powered cars are the answer.  He believes in man made climate change, and is with the wacko lefts belief that global warming is the end of the world. In other words he is a liberal, progressive environmentalist.

Perhaps you could not find that article elsewhere, because nobody but grandma jones would publish it.

Sorry, but my politics doesn't censor what I read.  More appropriately, smear merchants such as mommy Jones, the New York Slimes and CNN do a good job of censoring themselves from the discerning, since they rarely if ever,  find it in their leftie heart to headline any of the very positive, America elevating things that are accomplished by patriots like President Trump.

Keeping in mind, that no man is either 100% correct or 100% incorrect...I look for balance, which seems to be in total absence with Jonesy..

If you think I am mistaken, please post a positive article concerning any of the great things Pres Trump has done.

For instance, ...1) the jobs he is bringing back to our shores,

2)...the closing of the intentionally porous border, ....

  3) the rebuilding of our military, ..

  4) .the removal of DEI from our military,

  5) .. gaining favorable tariff situations for the USA...

  6)  the removal of criminal persons or gangs that came here illegally in the first place..

  7) the move toward placing the USA as the dominant energy power...

  8) ...the efforts to place the USA with world hegemony as it's primary super power,

  9) ....Giving tax breaks to the hard workers..on tips and laborer's overtime.

  10)  ... how the current Director of National Intelligence and pour FBI, is uncovering crimes committed by the past administration..

How about some articles from mammy Jones, describing any of the above ?  Barring that, how about just a couple ?

One problem with most leftist publications, in fact with many leftist people..is that they tend to deal with questions on an emotional level, rather that a factual level..

For example..another article nearby the one DG posted  from Mother Jones..

     https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2025/07/tps-removal-trump-delegalization-status-anxiety-feature-deport-1million-venezuela-haiti-tpsianos/

They have some genuine points, but clearly overlook the primary "fly in the ointment" reason for the couple's problem !

The fact is that they are not "Rule abiding"..but sneaked into the country to start.  Starting with breaking the law, is not wise.

Cannot do it. I found that long article via a link while looking for other information. I do not read Mother Earth News nor do I read Mother Jones.
You are doubtlessly better read about these topics than I.

IG: a question (not a criticism) ….you mention “most
leftist publications”. How many leftist publications do you read?

I do skim them occasionally..  But of course that is not necessary, since just being the least bit observant, we are bombarded with ABC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN..

Then come articles from the New York Times, Washington Post or a hundred other print/website media..

One thing that seems to provoke right wing thought and conversation, is the plethora of leftist propaganda that we are subject to...without requesting it..

Presently, the "wokeists' seemingly are being exposed for their duplicity !  It could work the other way..toward the right wing, had the right been given such free reign to spread their doctrine, as the left has been provided over the last few decades.

I suggest that we are presently observing the, "pendulum effect".. the further the pendulum is allowed to swing left..in due time, it will come back and swing just as far toward the right.. or possibly even further, driven by human release of exuberance !
