... IF, you want a tasty tangy tomato try a Green Zebra, ...
Do you know if they will fry up okay? As in Fried Green Tomatoes.

Every thing in the garden is late, very late , this year.
Tomatoes are finally ripening after hanging on the vine in green state for a long, long time.  Normally i get multiple clusters of tomatoes but this year it is one and done.

Sweet corn, up North is just starting to form cobs; I have two weeks to for them to ripen as freezing temps are forecast for last week in Sept.

Broccoli is finally producig heads, and those are one and done, while what I thought were Collards, are actually  cauliflower but producing very small heads.  I have never seen cauliflower with leaves standing straight 3 ft high.
Onions are done, the few I got and  carrots are doing OK but some are still only 3 inches high.

Squash was planted late and those are the only thing that is  not   producing late, actually they grew vigorously this year.
Cucumbers are producing a few here and there but doing pretty well; I may get enough to make two jars of pickles.

A very good year for rhubarb and most stalks are still standing tall.   8)

For me gardening is a gamble, my grandfather’s skill’s were lost on me. I still make my attempt’s and usually somewhat succeed and sometimes do great although I don’t know how or why. I learned how to deer hunt from him through his stories, he was a fine storyteller. I killed a deer on my first attempt using his advice, it surely hasn’t always been that easy.

All of gardening plans for 2025 never took root (pun intended), as did my 2024 garden plan. They remained in my head with zero action due to my laziness. Next year I'm gonna do better.  8)
