Well, so much for southern hospitality, huh?
From my trips to the South and SW, I didn't particularly see alot of 'go getters'.
Most of the movers and shakers were from up north it seems.
.
Yes... I guess every bearer of good and hopeful news deserve a slap down !
With some of the answers I received, brings to mind that line in an old song called "Home on the Range". I mean the line that goes, ...
" where never is heard, a discouraging word". I can only reassure them that the ones I see heading south, are hard working, mostly entrepreneurial types, and are smart enough not to aggravate their new neighbors, and in fact, may soon be providing some of them with jobs.
So somebody moves from Pittsburg..or near Altoona, close to Ypsilanti, or even Stowe... Do you expect everybody
to be trying to erase their past?
I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want neighbors who are trying to erase their past..
I see the old "north is poison" attitude creeping in...and of course and attitude like that, helps to bolster the concept of a "dis-United States", that the leftists are trying to promote..
I have lived in the north, south, east and not-so-much west of these United States..and I do not hold contempt for any of them. There are special charms in every state where I have lived or visited, and if a man is at all congenial, he can make friends almost anywhere..
