Vladimir Putin’s closest cronies are on alert amid fears of a coup after the daughter of the mastermind behind his Ukraine invasion was blown to pieces in a car bomb.

Suspects behind the Moscow assassination of 30-year-old Darya ‘Dasha’ Dugina range from rogue Russian security agents to resistance fighters determined to overthrow the despot’s regime.

Dasha’s bearded, neo-Nazi occultist father – who has been compared to Rasputin and dubbed ‘Putin’s brain’ – is thought to have been the intended target of the attack on a highway outside the capital on Saturday night.

Russian historian Dr Yuri Felshtinsky said the car bomb was ‘most likely part of an internal Russian conflict’.

He told The Daily Beast: ‘The blowing up of the car of the famous Russian fascist and ideologist of the Putin regime, Alexander Dugin, was organised, it seems, by the Russian security services.

‘The Ukrainian special services, involved in a deadly battle with the aggressor on the territory of Ukraine, are unlikely to be able to send their officers to Moscow to organise terrorist attacks there.’

The historian slated Dugin as an ‘odious’ part of Russia’s regime and hinted the wealth and power of the Rasputin-like figure may have made him a prime target for rebels.

Putin’s ex-speechwriter Abbas Gallyamov described the bombing as ‘symbolic’ and intended to intimidate Putin loyalists....

Internal intrigue..a struggle for power, just as so often seen within tyrannical regimes. 

   Sometimes the goal of the assassins slips away..remember, Hitler was protected from a bomb by a heavy
   table leg.  After that, there was a serious purge throughout Germany, shall we be observing such a thing in
    Russia?

  Rasputin...hmmmm  It seems almost common knowledge that Rasputin gained his position, because he had a "thing" going with the Czarina Alexandra.
   It was said that Rasputin had some very heavy equipment...and they were not talking about tanks!

  Maybe Putin should check around home... ;)  ;.

I think western media give too much credit to Alexander Dugin because in Russia he's just considered to be another nationalist.

   I don't claim any information into Russian leadership inner circles, but with other, everyday gangsters, we often hear of a bomb set in a car, intended for a certain person...and then the an unexpected person decides to use the car..

"With Alex Jones. Good interview nonetheless dispelling alot of media mythology."

  According to the article in the Independent , posted above by Dee, they may have tried to take dugin out, because    he is the one goading Putin on into acting like an old USSR dictator.    Below, from the first line in the article;

  "The daughter of a man described as the spiritual guide for the Russian invasion of Ukraine has been killed in a car bomb near Moscow."
