How many on GBO have actually contacted their elected officials and complained?

I'll start by saying I have wrote, emailed and tried to call our worthless governor 17 times now. Between the wife and me I actually wrote it down how many times. Got a generic response twice.

I have to say with both current senators Democrats I find it a worthless situation trying to communicate with them. Also contacted my congressional colleagues with no response. Has anyone truthfully ever been contacted back? Not in Arizona.

I never have. Texas for the most part hasn't aggravated me that much.  It slowly changing though.

I emailed my former rep (john lewis) so many time that they quit answering me.

I email my worthless Democrat senators regularly even though I know they're going to vote against me every time. They do occasionally respond. I email and call my governor regularly. He has stood tall against any and all gun control bills so I thank him when he does. We have some 2A bills coming up that expand our stand your ground laws. I email my state reps and senators as well. You have to make your voice heard no matter what. If more of us took the effort to do it we'd have less problems.

Please describe what action to take. The only legal one I can think of is voting them out and that's an impossible task in this state.

I contacted my former senator that retired last term several times. I received answers back but he never addressed anything I was concerned about. They were just long "patting" his self on the back responses. I even called his office and talked to a drone and got the same drivel. I have contacted my new, even more worthless, senator and have received no reply.

It simple really. They know they have the liberal vote and  no matter what they do as long as it suits the liberal agenda they are going to keep it. Since liberals outnumber the conservatives in this state except in the second congressional district which is sparsely populated they will keep getting reelected so why would they pay any attention to us dissatisfied conseratives. Exactly. They don't.

I have often but have 2 Dems. (Schumer and his useless other half). He is an avid supporter of 2A. if you listen to him, then he votes the other side. I also have a Dem. rep. as of the last election. He is an x-rapper that wrote hate songs during Desert Storm . So I have stopped wasting my time.

Being a citizen of one of the bluest states in the union, I have found it useless to contact my so called Reps. I did it repeatedly for years, and now I don't waste my time. The only one that took the time to respond is Peter De Fazio, and he is a total socialist demo, that has never agreed with anything I believe in. I usually work in some small way at the local level for candidates, and Vote for Conservatives. Not always Republican. I do a lot of bitching, and will continue to do so until I run out of breath.

I have contacted state senators, and my state rep a number of times. Especially since Pa was stolen from trump. Every time I have called my State Rep. I either get someone to answer the phone, or I get a return call back. I even had met with my state rep with a few other guys over lunch one evening. Never got a cal back from a senators office. I also don't think contacting them does much good. They are going to do what they do. Where the difference has to be made is before certain people get elected. You can't start thinking things are going to change after you let the fox in the hen house.  After a RINO or democrat gets elected. I think you can call and bitch all you want. It isn't going to change a thing.

       No but some of the rhinos might care a bit if constantly getting complaints and knowing their coming up for re election. I see most on here bitching to one another about a lot of crap. Why not direct it to the ones you're pissed at? It might not do any good but i for one feel pretty good taking my anger out on the rhinos in my state.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from emailing their state and federal representatives at all but I can say that phone calls make a bigger impact. Calls are logged and carry more weight than emails because there are so many automatic email apps out there that email tends to be ignored. Yes you will receive an auto reply that says "Thanks for contacting so and so and we really appreciate your input blah blah" but it doesn't make the impact a phone call does. I used to email my representatives on a regular basis and out of all of those only once did it actually motivate my state congressional rep to help resolve a problem I had. His personal assistant told me on the phone that most emails are not given the priority a phone call does. My bet is that holds true across the board.

So a phone call to Johnny Isakson’s office got a young man on the case and though it took about two months, he got everything corrected.
