									   I have several of them and really like them.  They have the pretty case colored frame as yours does  plus a steel case colored forend spacer. None of mine have a serial number, two of them have a steel trigger guard and one has a plastic trigger guard, all have walnut stocks.
  You can compare them to the newer Toppers and see where it would cost much more to produce a gun like the M 48 today.   Enjoy your older model H & R it looks to be in very nice condition and they are hard to find like that.
