New member here, looks like a great site. Really getting into the H&R rifles lately. I have been shooting Cowboy Action for a number of years. My first H&R rifle was a Buff Classic that I bought in 2006. Since then I have gotten a Classic Carbine 45 Colt. I am now lusting after something at my local dealer, an H&R with 44Mag, .223 and 12 gauge barrels. It's got a green laminated straight grip stock. I'm hoping I've got something he might want to trade for it.
Glad to be a part of the site, seems like a good bunch of folks.

45/70, 45 colt AND 44mag? You will love it here! ;D

Welcome to the forum.  Get your hands on that rifle if you can, it sounds like a gem. Plus, with that combo, I'm sure you will never need another gun or barrel ;) (at least that can be your excuse)

there addicting little guns i love all mine and i would be all over that combo you mentioned to especially with a straight grip stock ... ;D welcome to the forum

Soon your house will be overflowing with Handi rifles and extra barrels.  You will keep saying " I can stop any time I want".  It might even be true.  Welcome!

Yes, I'm a dentist, going on 20 years now. I live in Maumelle, just outside Little Rock. My dental practice is in Bryant. I've been collecting Marlins for a while, among other things. Lately I've gotten bit by the Handi-bug. I can see it's going to become terminal!

They say theres a cure, but i havent found it ( also havent looked to hard). And if you reload, the condition will be with you for good ;D  Welcome

Houdy Doc, I bought a Handi a few weeks ago at a gun show ( .270 / 20 Ga. ). the first Handi I have had in many years. Not happy with synthetic stock however. The strait laminated stock sounds like a much better choice for a starting setup and a good spread in Cal. / Ga. good to see more Handi-folks in Arkansas.  :)
