Now "THAT" is downright funny ;)

the right/left yardstick is a French Revolution-born human measure. It reflects the political spectrum, which is determined by the people’s range of beliefs. Christians, however (and everyone, in fact), should make Truth their yardstick. This inerrant guide doesn’t compromise and build consensus, either; it’s not a politician. It dictates where reality lies. And in a civilization claiming 2+2=5, it’s with the “extremist” who insists it’s 4. For God’s realism so often is man’s radicalism.

It may seem kind of funny for Obama to get the Nobel Peace prize, especially when he didn't do anything.  But he did earn it later when he escalated the war in Afghanistan.   ???
Study after study has shown how dangerous distracted driving is yet people continue to talk on their cell phones while driving. Driving in the U.S. requires your full attention. Many states and countries have made it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the federal government should follow their lead. Banning the use of cell phones while driving would have the added benefit of making the no-texting law enforceable.

And the EU deserves it for not killing each other for 67 years.

In case you missed it, I am not joking

Quote
PARIS — By naming the European Union the recipient of the 2012 peace prize on Friday, the Norwegian Nobel Committee made an unconventional choice that celebrated the bloc’s postwar integration even as a financial crisis and political infighting threaten to tear it apart.

Yeah; 1942 to present... 70 years... take any 70 year period prior to '45, and it was ugly there. Glad they're reforming some, if they are. Much tougher neighborhood than here in North America. We've been blessed to be a big power with small ones on either side - apologies to the Canadians, esp - nothing like having Germany on one side, and Russia on the other...
Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

I thought the EU was fairly new thing. If we are to give it to groups for not fighting then we need to give it to the inventor of the A-bomb. If not for that little jewel somebodies language would be extint.
