Any thoughts on this .32-20 barrel?
« on: August 21, 2012, 12:20:34 AM »
It's on ebay under H&R - Sporting Goods.  For some reason the link won't work, but it is still there.  Current bid 100.00.  It's a shot out .22-250 with a Redman .32-20 barrel liner.

Sounds good Pete!  You like that caliber and it's fun and that barrel is cheap!  Why not?  (Of course, it's not my money.)  :)  I know the allure of the 32-20 is sorta like my old Single Six in .32 mag cut to a 3" barrel; lot's of fun with them pea shooter cartridges!  :)  44 Man

Pete,

I think you'd be spoiled by your current 32-20 since it's on a much lighter barrel, but you can always shoot the heavy one and let Patty shoot the nice one!! ;D

Since there are 4 days remaining, I wouldn't expect it to go reasonably priced, but good luck.  ;)

Tim, I didn't really want it.  I've got the Handi and the Marlin .32-20s.  Patty is enamored with my camo shorty maxi.  She took it to work the other day to show it to her buddies.  I think I'll sneak her's out and give it a nose job and a camo stock set.  It'd be a nice surprise for her birthday in October. ;) ;) 8)

I've been watching it too. The cheaper barrels have been going for high prices lately. I bet this one will go over $200.

Nope isn't me... It's at $160 something right now. I'll probably change my mind 'tween now and then. My 32-20 Trotter Special is pretty darn good. ;)

Couple hours left.  $168 now.  Ten bids.  Might end up being a decent buy.  Expect sniping in the last minute.  Good luck if it's you...

Peter,
Your CL has new wood on it!!  Orig stuff was not checkered. I have a couple sets like it, custom but factory wood.

I have a perticularly nice set for a 1897 rimfire. ;) One day I will find a worthy rifle for the stocks. ;)

Almost 300 for the barrel.. wow!
