I have a Mossberg Mod. 535 three and a half inch mag. turkey shotgun. The day before turkey season I got the gun out of the safe, loaded it with three 3 1/2 inch shells and went to see how it patterned. Something in the back of my mind told me to unload it and check the barrel. I always do this before I load but just forgot to do it this time. Well I jacked out the shells and to my surprise I could not see down the barrel. I took a cleaning rod and popped out a loaded twenty gauge shell that was wedged in the barrel. Still at this moment I can't figure out how that shell was inserted in to the gun, we do not own any 20 gauge shotguns. But I'll promise to myself to check the bore of every gun I shoot in the future.
