Been too many years since I shot target matches with 44's (60'-70's) so groups shot are long forgotten.   And I last hunted with 44MAG's going on 3 decades ago for mule deer, elk and wild boar - mostly w/M29 and SB revolvers though and only rarely with my TC 44's.   But they were easily all good to go as far away as I was confident I could reliably make a well placed shot for each circumstance with open sights.    All else being equal how accurately or far away is entirely shooter dependant... a what Tom can do doesn't mean Dick and Harry can also do kind of thing.    But the 44's can kill cleanly a longs ways if you're up to the shot.
Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I don't have the 10" barrel, but do have a 12".  It has a scope on it and I can only show you what it can do with a good scope:

This was a five (5) shot group.  I love this setup and have taken it into the woods on many ocaisions.  Here it is with a Burris 2x scope installed:

Just another voice in the crowd!!!
