Do they sell NEF Handi/Pardner receiver only?

I just purchased a NEF Handi .223 rifle that came with a 12 ga shotgun barrel.
Instead of switching the two barrels back and forth, would it be possible to just buy another
receiver with the stock so I can just put the 12 ga barrel on it and have 2 separate long guns?

Welcome!! H&R doesn't, but you can buy a used frame and fit the barrel yourself with the barrel fitting info in the FAQs and Help sticky which is required reading, should be mandatory for newbies, but we'll let it slide this time!  ;) Frames are bought and sold regularly in the H&R classifieds, post an ad in the H&R Want to Buy forum located a few forums below this one.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Is such a transaction under FFL laws or can it be a direct person to person shipment if I do find a member who is willing to sell a NEF long gun minus the barrel?

just buy the  whole shot gun

12 ga.....and make one  a shorty/ slug shooter
20 ga....and hove one of each

The receiver is the "gun", so it must ship FFL to FFL.  Check a pawn shop.  I've bought two Pardner shotguns recently for little money.  One was $35.00!  FFL fees will be more than a pawn shop gun most likely....

Some states do allow this but IIRC GB does not.
