BAR DISASEMBLE?

How do I start to clean the action?  I tried to download Brownings manual and it takes forever.  Thank you :roll: .

Browning BAR Disassembly

A good reference is the Gun Digest Book of "Firearms Assembly/Disassembly", Part IV. The BAR is on page 36. In brief:
1] Use a wrench to loosen and unscrew the front sling swivel base.
2] Remove the forestock.
3] Slide right and left action support rails out of receiver towards the front.
4] Disengage the forward ends of the action bars from studs on sides of inertia block and remove towards front.
This is the basic field stripping for a good field cleaning.
I would recommend the book at this point, or perhaps suffer the downloading of the Browning manual.
