First batch of perch
« on: October 14, 2010, 01:09:07 PM »
Finally got the timing right. Pulled in a nice batch of perch yesterday and cooked them up just an hour ago. Fresh cole slaw(cabbage from the garden) and fries. Biggest problem we have, is with different work scedule's and such, have a hard time to get everone in the family together for a fishing trip. We almost ate the entire catch up this evening. And their predicting 5-7 footers out on the lake for Friday and Saturday, so that will stir things up for a couple days. Hope by the middle of next week, it'll settle back down, as the water temp. is getting just right for the perch to start putting on their winter feed. Maybe get lucky and make a trip over to the reefs in the next couple weeks for some 'eye's. gypsyman
We keep trying peace, it usually doesn't work!!Remember(12/7/41)(9/11/01) gypsyman

Perch,  eggs,  and potatoes,  in the AM over an open fire,  smell of woodsmoke and mornin breakfast cookin , mixing with that first cup 'o Joe  in the crisp fall air .... Man It just doesn't get any better than that.
