I sent Yohan at AA an email with all specs on the 357 MAX/30gr A1680/180gr SSP load in the cast iron SB1 framed rifle, I'll let ya know what he says about pressure.

Yohan states that even at 45kpsi, the breech force is still less than the 44mag, he also mentioned that to measure 3 Feet from the muzzle is not a good idea, the best distance is 15 feet from the muzzle to prevent erroneous measurements due to shock waves

I TOTALLY agree! All I know my MAX is going to be ready for the deer woods this fall! Thanks, for all the concerns and info. Hopefully this post will help alot of others and their Max's. John

I stand both corrected, and enlightened.  Or at least more learned.  Or something anyway.....

Have fun with the max.  I've moved mine to my BC frame but it's getting hard to decide what I want to shoot.  I have three excellent shooters now, the 357 max. the 45-70, and the versa 22.
