A couple months ago the messiah/prez said he may start to approve some offshore drilling. Curiously, within a couple weeks we witnessed the worst oil spill catastrophy in our history..coincidence, I presume,... but a handy one. Rahm Emmanuel says never to waste a good crisis, so the admin it appears, will have to be dragged..kicking and screaming into some kind of effort to prevent massive contamination of the southern coasts. ....But they sure haven't moved yet !
Now that a well head a mile or more under water is spewing oil, common sense would tell us to move to securing our oil from land leases or at least from shallow, off shore locations.
But what does the messiah/king/prez do ? He moves with rapidity to seize vast areas of western lands... thereby putting the oil there "off limits". This would be a good move if we were already weaned off petroleum, but such is not the case, we are using more oil every year. This will of course, take land off the state tax rolls and prevent use of minerals found there.

Ideally, we would each conserve as much petroleum as possible; but using the politicians who back this bill as examples...they are still riding in jet airplanes, living in mansions (sometimes 2 or 3) and riding around in limousines and driving big, inefficient, gas hog personal cars.
If they now use this oil spill as an excuse to shut down deep water drilling, while still forbidding shallow or on shore drilling, buying and closing acreage while driving us to buy oil from enemies, there can only be one answer (IMO)..they want the USA to fail..
