I used to fish the Atachaflya out of Butte LaRose but the intracoastal seems better with less commercial fisherman to compete with.I grew up in Lafayette so henderson was only 30 minutes away guess where we spent my younger years when camps where sill aloud on the levee. Now camps no more unless in Butte laRouse. The biggest Louisiana Blue cat 128 pounds out of the little atachaflya BUT it was caught on a trot line hanging to this day on the wall of Pats waterfront landing

Small world! I was born in Arnaudville. My Family is all from Breaux Bridge and Henderson. Fished the Atchafalaya basin as a kid. A cook I had on the Mississippi river used to work for Pat. Man he could put out a spread! I didn't know about the "no camp" thing on the levees, Too bad, I spent some good times there in the 60's
