After discovering Ahrends grips for my S&W revolvers, I don't know how Hogue stays in business (except for the rubber stuff)!

Good pictures on the sites below.

I have the Retro Target grips in moradillo, and the Square Butt Smooth Tactical grips in cocobolo. They are both beautiful; the wood is terrific. It's hard for me to describe, but the tactical grips have a flat front that causes the gun to "snap to" (for lack of a better term) the front in perfect alignment with your arm as you grip the gun. Now I have some nice Hogue grips that feel pretty good in your hand, but they do not do this. Ahrends has my business for life.

I have a new to ee USA Seville but the company
 is long Gone. I'm unsure if Ruger Grips will fit but the thought
Of making a set or 3 sounds good

(am not real proud of the fit of these, but you do have to practice  ;) )
And because someone will ask:

I gathered the parts over the span of about 5 years and have about $350 cash into her.

Safari Arms receiver, Brazilian military slide, GI 45 acp barrel, solid recoil guide, most other parts are after market and yes that is a stainless mag catch. (only one I had at the time).
Did fitting and tuning meself, and she shoots better then I can hold.

Thanks guys.

It's a funny thing. It started out just wanting grips without the angle on the bottom because I have big hands and ended up ebony with abalone inlays.

How that process worked I'm still not sure. ;D

i   used  to sand paper them  to  fit my  hand
but  now  shape them   with a key hole saw

they  look  like  hell  but  feel  great

Picked up a 1911 in a horse trade. Didn't care for the rubber wrap-arounds (even though they did feel/shoot nicely after I installed the arched mainspring housing) or the too-smooth wood grips it came with.
All the wooden checkered Hogues seemed to start at $49.95.
Found these checkered laminated rosewoods on sale at Midway for $23.00.
With those and the addition of the lanyard loop arched mainspring housing it's now perfect for me.
