Very easy to do.

Take the action, barrel, and trigger assembly off of the stock.

Looking at the trigger housing, there is a screw on the front (closest to muzzle), adjust the screw out to lighten trigger pull (turn counter clockwise) to your liking.

When finished put action, barrel, trigger assembly back in the stock and tighten the two screws attaching the stock to the action.

That's it.

Do not forget to put something on the screw after you adjust it!  They can, and will back out, so fingernail polish or loctite over the screw after you have made your final adjustment.  Also, you will have to remove the protective sealant over the screws to get to them, this will avoid the Remington warranty, or they might just work on the rifle if need be and bill you for a new trigger.  Try Google or another search engine for adjusting a Remington trigger, the old trigger and the X Mark adjust the same.

More than 1/4 turn by the way.  Do it with the barreled action out and constantly check your progress.  Be safe and make sure that your firing pin won't go home when you bump your rifle/take it off of safe.

I've done old Remmy triggers and the new X Mark, they aren't hard, but it does demand a bit of respect.  About 2-1/2lbs is pretty easily obtained with good reliability.  Mine are right at 2lbs.

Good luck.

Look at the thread right above this one at the time I type this. URL is:

I have detailed photos of the X-Mark trigger and the screws and tell which one to adjust and which to leave alone. I'll just copy it here.

Here are some photos I took of the X-Mark Pro trigger assembly on my Remington Model Seven Predator today while adjusting the trigger.

And here are both rifles after working the triggers and adding the scopes.

The newest X-Mark Pro triggers don't require the actions to be removed from the stock.  The adjustment is inside the trigger guard.  You just need an Allen wrench.

I have had a chance to examine the newest trigger.  I saw pictures and read an article on it.

Must not be the newest version.
