I have had a knife made by a guy in Covington Louisiana since 95 and I wanted to get some more. He was a little
behind but sold me some blades he had made

I made him promise me I wasn't going to wipe him out and put him farther behind, and then I walked out with these:
he threw in some ziricote too

yesterday I bought a grizzly G1014Z and a craftsman scroll saw for $175

unfortunately I wasn't paying attention to a tear at the seam of the sand paper belt on one side
and when I sanded on that side she came apart. A trip to some local Home Depot type places let me know that 6x42 belts
pretty much have to be ordered online

I also pretty much figured out that the pin holes are 5/32 and ordered some brass rod from Tower Hobbie.
I'm a big osage nut so I ordered some osage handle blanks from Dixie gunworks, along with some bocote and zebrawood

I practiced a little with the scroll saw (which will be supplemented by a band saw as soon as I figure out how to get a good used one)
on some pine

a lot of this has had me doing some thinking, most of which is focused on the hidden tang. Thats the one that has got me scratching my head......
