hey guys i just got a 44 mag for the encore its the 15 inch one. i  was wondering how they shoot. i bought some 225 gr lever gun bullets with the red tip in them anyone shoot them in there encore pistol .i also got the norm 240 swc,sjsp and some hollowpoints .how bad is the recoil i read about the contender with the 10 inch barrel is pretty bad. im hopeing that the encore with the 15 inch barrel wont be to bad for recoil let me hear the good bad and ugly thanks for any info

I have a 12in. 44 mag with a Aimpoint compC3 on it. Very mild recoil with 240gr. SJSP loads. Can be shot using one hand off the bag or shooting sticks with no pain!

Recoil, you may have to expand on this, it's not the recoil it's the blast that makes most people flinch. I consider mine pretty mild compared to my 44 Alaskan.

hey guys just got back from camp . im glad to hear that the recoil isnt that bad . i think im going to the range tomorrow afternoon if it dosent rain . ill let you all know what i think about the recoil . if its not bad in the 12 it should be less in the 15 . i put a bushnell trophy reddot on it. i  hope it holds up . thanks for the info
