Back to the CANDY SHOP
« on: May 03, 2009, 08:15:17 AM »
Nothing to do today except watch it rain.
My hunting buddy called and asked if I wanted to ride over to the CANDY SHOP.
Always!
I wanted to see if they had any HORNADY 45gr soft points for my Ultra 204.
They had 3 boxes at $16.99 a box.
I took 2 and my buddy took 1.
I picked up 2 lbs of H110 & 1 lb of HS7 at $19.99 each.
I also got 300 CCI # 250 LARGE RIFLE MANGUM primers at $3.29 a 100 along with 100 CCI # 550 Small Pistol Magnum primers for $3.49.
A full brick of CCI # 350 Large Pistol Magnum pirmers for $27.99 and a box of 100 Win Triple 7 209 primers for $9.99.
A full box of HORNADY 52gr BTHP 22 cal bullets for my 225s at $14.99 and a box of 120gr HPs for my 25-06 at $21.99.
My buddy bought some Ultramax 223s at $15.00 a box of 20 and a new set of HORNADY 204 dies for $21.00.
On the way out the door I spoted a new BC Carbine in 45 colt on the rack behind some bow boxes.
It is an HX 2007 he has had a while and wouldn't come off the price of $379.99.
I asked for the bottom $ today and the owner said $300.00 out the door.
I made an offer of $275.00 out the door and he said done.

Not to bad for a rainy day!    :)

That's a very good candy store, most around me still don't have primers, do have some powder and starting to pickup on some of the various bullets.  Great deal on the little 45, I think I paid 359.00 for mine new.  DP

I have a few extra barrels that I haven't set up on frames yet.
Thought I would see if any would fit the new carbine.
Turns out 5 other barrels fit just fine.
Now it has the original 20" 45 colt, plus
1- 22" 450 Marlin
2- 22" 444 Marlin
3- 22" 445 Super Mag
4- 22" 7mm08
5- 22" 30-06

Turned out to be a better deal than I had hoped for!   ;) :)
I now have a frame for every barrel I own.
