Well, I should have listened!

Well, after selling my stainless encore 209X50 that shot good (wanted blue for turkey barrel and stainless is like waving a white flag in the woods) I got the 209x45 and it shot a solid 9" group at 50 yards . I tried several different powder charges and 3 types of bullets, what a disapointment :( . I called Thompson and tried to tell the service guy about my problem. He had evidentially heard it all before :? . He said to send it in. I asked him to send me the 209x50 barrel instead of the 209x45 because I have spent enough trying to get it to shoot. He said he would have to run it by his supervisor but didn't think it would be a problem. I am trying to keep a positive attitude about the encore but it is REALLY hard :x . Don

I feel your pain sorta. When i was looking at the Encores i really wanted the .45 but people kept telling me to watch out with the .45's and  there twist rate.I decided to go with the .50 and it shoots great.Hope you get the .50 back and it works out.
You just might be a gun nut when your littlest son cheers and yells "DEER MEAT" when Bambi's mother gets shot!
