Whats the difference between Handi Rifles made by NEF vs. H&R

As it relates to serial numbers: H* vs N*, what is there difference(if any at all) between the rifles.

No difference, in fact there are no NEF marked Handis made any more, all are marked Harrington and Richardson now. H&R Ultras used to have nicer metal, but in the last several years they have the same finish as the Handi, just nicer wood.
