Raising cheek level for good cheek weld
« on: January 14, 2009, 07:25:31 AM »
Have a savage 110fp in 308 love the rifle. Is there a strap on cheek piece that allows giving a higher height so I can get a better cheek weld?. And is there a different type of bolt handle that can be swapped out for the stock factory one?. Would like something along the lines of a tactical bolt handle with longer handle and knob. Thanks, Frank

Here's the thing you need for the cheek weld. Comes with different sized pads.

And for the bolt:

They're about half way down the page.

I put the SS BT style on both of my Stevens rifles. I think they really make the action feel smoother and I like the smooth big ball it really fits my hand nicely. I haven't tried the Tactical style, but I would think they would give you plenty of leverage.

I built up the comb of my Mossberg 500 with duct tape and have a shell cuff over the top of that.

On my Ruger 1 I have a lace on thing I got from Cabelas but it is a little wiggly and spongy and I'm not real happy with it.

Is this new system real firm? Might be worth a try for the cost.

Think I just saw it in Cabelas too.
