hey that's an awesome deer.  i have been using my .45 acp on hogs and deer, using 230 grain hp's, with great success.  i have a sbh in .44 and was considering the leverevolution ammo.  i have only got a mouflon ram with the .44 though, with a 240 grn softpoint.  i have tons of 240 lswc's for hogs, but haven't had an opportunity yet.  you say they are 'too much' for deer.  mind if i ask why?  i have a bunch of 210 grn hp's for the .44 too, would they be a better choice?  i am relatively new to handgun hunting seriously, is why i ask. overkill is fine with me, but i don't want to use a round for hunting that might not be as effective as another.  thanks!
