I don't own an AR type rifle likely never will as such are not the kinda guns I lean to but with any auto loading type what I see most owners doing is rather rapid fire and rapid fire and cast bullets are in my opinion NOT a good idea. It is a gas operated firearm I believe and that too is a combination that is generally not good as the necessary lube tends to clog the gas ports.
My advice would be to avoid cast bullets in an AR type firearm.

A big +1 on Bill's advice. Never, ever use a lubed, cast bullet in a gas operated firearm. As Bill pointed out, lube and any loose or soft lead will plug up the gas system. A nightmare in the making.
