I think the wood stock would help being heavier.
i think i will try it with wood stock and shot in the stock.
the wood stocks i have, have pretty thick pads, one has a thick soft pad.
The 405gr. rem were not bad at all think with just a wood stock it would be fine , just a push straight back.
the 325 Hornady would make the barrel jump about 4-5" straight up.
I thought the 405s would have the bad kick, and they were 5-7" inches higher than the 325 holding the same.
When i got it Oed with the 405 it was just making the hole bigger every shot, 3" high at 50 yards, should make it maybe 1" high at 100 or maybe dead on.
