Remington 7615 question
« on: May 13, 2008, 03:42:45 AM »
Does anyone know if the adapter for the ar 15 magazines can be removed, then a regular remington magazine be used in these guns. I love the idea of the gun, but the magazine hangs out right where I would put my hand carrying it.  Thanks in advance.

 NOPE!

First off remington doesn't make a "regular" .223 7600magazine and secondly the 7615 is built on a shorter action than  the other Remington pumps and autoloaders. So you bacically don't have any parts you can convert to.

I think you'll like the gun the gun balances perfectly with the hand right in the corner at the front of the mag adapter the carbine 7615 is a lot more front heavy than a 7600 so the balance point is quite different. What's really cool is if you're tall like me you can carry the rifle muzzle down by the pistol grip.

Thanks krochus. That's kind of what I figured. As it is, it will be a nice piece to keep in the rig. I've also heard good things about the accuracy so the coyote numbers will probably drop to let the deer numbers rise. Thanks again.

Thanks krochus. I've been keeping an eye on your posts about this gun. Those targets look familiar.

OK then here's some  you may not have seen. ;) These were fired using the sights pictured above

and for an idea of how much diffrent the 7615 is from the 7600 most people are used to handling

pictured with a 30-06 shell for comparison

As you can tell I love posting pics of this rifle, I simply cannot say enough good about this fine firearm

You might as well just reach in and take the money right out of my wallet with your enthusiasm for this piece. Do these guns have that bleeping safety with the key? I'll be changing mine over to lefty anyway but have never dealt with that key safety thing (I forgot what they call it). Is the trigger group steel? What would you say you average for 5 shot groups with the better factory ammo you use? Thanks in advance krochus, I look forward to keeping one of these in my rig.

The trigger group is aluminum, and at least the police model does not have the silly J-lock

Even el-cheap-o wolf shoots 2moa or better handloads or better factory loads shoot really close to moa on average especially 69grn loads

The pic looks like a 20rnd mag, Rem makes a 10 round for it that's almost flush.  They HAVE to make them cause they sell them in CA and that's the longest we can get.  I saw one the other day, looks better then the pic above.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
